Commitment 1: preserving the natural environment

We act to reduce our environmental footprint while accelerating the transition toward lower-impact textile solutions, acting on 2 priorities:

1. Adapt to climate change

Cutting our greenhouse gas emissions is a critical performance driver.

  • We are committed to substantially reducing our CO2eq emissions (scopes 1, 2 and 3) with the goal of attaining carbonneutral status by 2050.
  • We are adopting decarbonization measures such as modernizing our manufacturing base and tapping into low-carbon energy sources.
  • We are working to sustain a resilient business model and production sites, by closely monitoring on-site exposure to physical risks such as flooding, heatwaves and water shortages.

2. Reduce the pressures on biodiversity

Our approach considers preserving natural environments and protecting resources.

  • We are working with scientific partners to target our efforts in terms of biodiversity and water resources.
  • We invested to reduce the risks linked to chemical use (Chargeurs PCC’s Restricted Substances List, in conjunction with TUV SÜD).
  • We deployed cuts in water consumption through water recycling and optimized manufacturing processes, especially with our Zero Water Dyeing collection.

Chargeurs PCC Audit Program

We at the Chargeurs Group are committed to applying, promoting, and supporting the fundamental corporate social responsibility principles across all our business activities.

To make sure that we are practicing what we preach, we are in the process of ensuring all tiers of our global Chargeurs PCC supply chain have annual, independent, semi or unannounced SMETA audits for assessment of the social and environmental standards at each site.

Following these assessments, we take each facility through a journey of continuous improvement to make them safer and a better place to work.
